How to organize your responses by assigning tags

Organizing form responses with tags can streamline your reviewing process and make it easier to manage data. Here’s how you can create and assign tags to your form responses:

  1. Access Your Form:
  • Navigate to the All forms page.
  • Select the form you want to organize responses for and open it.
  • On the left side of the screen, click on Responses to view all submitted responses.

  1. View Individual Responses:
  • All responses are listed in separate rows; click on a specific row to view all details for that response.

  1. Search for Specific Responses:
  • If you're looking for particular answers, you can utilize the search bar located on the right side of the page. Type in keywords relevant to the responses you are looking for, and the system will display all matching entries.

  1. Create and Assign Custom Tags:
  • Open a response and click on “Assign tags” located on the right side.
  • To create a new tag, select “Create new tag”. A dialog box will appear where you can name your tag and choose a color.
  • After creating the tag, click on “Create tag”.

  1. Link Custom Tags to Responses:
  • Open a response and click on "Assign tags" to access your tags.
  • Select the tag you want to assign and it will be linked to that response. Do that for each response you want to assign a tag to.

  1. Filter Responses by Tags:
  • On the main Responses page, click the “Filter by tags” dropdown.
  • You will see a list with all tags that you have created for this form. Choose a tag from the dropdown menu and the system will filter out and display only the responses associated with it.

  1. Utilize Pre-assigned Tags:
  • Some tags, like “Preview,” are automatically assigned to responses. The "Preview" tag can be useful in identifying and excluding any responses that were made while previewing the form.

By following these steps, you can effectively categorize and retrieve form responses based on specific criteria, making it easier to manage large sets of data.
